The Doria Agricultural Estate has completed a journey that has spanned over 40 years. Beginning in the early '90s with the recovery of the Nebbiolo grapevine, the process started by introducing Nebbiolo into the approved and recommended grape varieties for Oltrepò. This was followed by the production of Nebbiolo wine, which achieved the IGT designation in 2010 with the support of a report prepared by our Agronomist, Dr. Daniele Manini. After more than 30 years of winemaking experiments, including trials for classic method sparkling wines, we finally produced a 2018 organic Nebbiolo wine. This wine received significant recognition at Golosaria 2024 in Milan, where it was awarded the Top Hundred Historic Gold Crown.

The Nebbiolo recovery in Oltrepò is now complete: first with the recovery of the grapevine in 2005, a project that began in 1990, then achieving the IGT Provincia di Pavia designation in 2010, and finally receiving prestigious recognition in 2024 for the quality of the wine. For lovers of this noble wine, it is now possible to taste the 2018 organic Nebbiolo IGT Provincia di Pavia either in the cellar or paired with the perfect dishes at our Agriturismo “La Colombina.”
